Looking Forward

In 2023, according to Zippia.com, only 8.6% of all audio engineers were women. The minority representation is even less with 16.5% being Latino, 9.2% being African American/Black, and 6.3% were other unknown groups.

As a woman run and minority-based company, diversifying the current industry narrative is my mission; to champion the voices of women and people of color; and to publish audio books that inspire and support people.

Specializing in non-fiction and personal development writers, we focus on those who inspire a peaceful, equitable, and diverse world view. Each author has the opportunity to develop their narrative voice during the production process; and together, we synthesize an author based, professional grade audio book ready for audio book platforms.It is our goal this year to complete our professionally equipped, acoustically designed recording studio. Ultimately, we will eliminate the high costs of out-sourced services and studio space rentals. More in-house capabilities mean more audio books and audio book varieties to come. This branching into new genres will feature fiction as well as non-fiction titles, including multi-lingual authors. We anticipate being very busy in 2024, as we currently have clients patiently waiting to begin production on their next audio books. Hang in there, we're almost there!

Studio Project Update

And, “Construction is done, when construction is done.” This is my mantra as the work continues on building the Hummingbird Hut Studio, and I continue to take deep breaths, as I know that this "storm before the storm" will soon pass.This is a process no less demanding than building a plane while flying it.

Taking shape now are the walls, windows, and a recognizable structure. From inside, the noises of the neighborhood have significantly diminished, and once the structure is complete, the real acoustical treatments will be fitted. We are loving the natural light.
