![]() As I write this, I’m sitting here isolating with the COVID, and fantasizing about all the places in the world I want to visit. I have friends who are traveling right now to all different spots on this earth, and I’m stuck on the couch. Isn’t the pandemic supposed to be letting up? I want be all over this planet! I recently applied for my dual citizenship to the Philippines (yup, that’s where I was born). In my lifelong goal to be a citizen of the world, this is the first step I am taking to not only travel back to my birthplace, but also continue documenting my family tree. I want to see the island my grandmother is from. I’m looking forward to traveling there in a couple of years, and hopefully as a Philippino citizen! In listening to, “Breaking Through Your Own Glass Ceiling,” by Linda González, I am reminded that there really is nothing standing in my way, but me. It’s all about our state of mind, taking stock of all the things that may have been preventing us from moving forward, and getting out of our own way. Linda does a spectacular job narrating her book with a friendly and “no non-sense” attitude. Very inspiring! Even though I’m stuck at home now, I won’t be forever. Now’s the time to plan the next amazing adventures!
And do the traveling after we build out the studio. Yes, that project is still in the works too for this Fall. Our building permit is PENDING with the city of Oakland, and we are getting ready to start ordering the stuff that will take the longest to get here, like the doors and windows. Looking like breaking ground will be around October. So exciting! Keeping the fingers and toes crossed. That’s this month’s scoop, Allegra Comments are closed.
